Upland Gun Company and RFM made an appearance in the film From the Heart.
We take a journey into the woodcock covers of Minnesota with hunter Richard Wong as he shares the life of his 13-year-old Vizsla, Hunter. This is a story about the bond we develop with our bird dogs, the challenges and truth that come in light of their age, and the lessons learned by their resilience.
Wonderful. Hunters old soul does something for us all. He reminds us that the pursuit of meaningful relationship, with out dogs, the shotgun, the bird and each other; are entwined journeys that lead us to a place of vulnerability. Its in that vulnerability that we can find our selves.
I only know of Hunter through Instagram as I accidentally (or maybe not) stumbled across a post by @wisc_me_nord.
Having been a life long Vizsla custodian (I currently have three in my charge) I was drawn to Hunter’s story and how he affected those who knew him.
I have learned so much about life from the pups I’ve been blessed with. Hunter was that “one in a million” just like every Vizsla is. They are such special dogs.
It looks like Richard has another “one in a million” with Trigger.
It’s exciting to watch his progress.
Incidentally it was @wisc_me_nord that led me to Upland Gun Company. Funny how things come full circle.
